Karen splits her time between Pittsburgh and in the Laurel Highlands where she writes and lives with her husband and two dogs Reena and Kondi in a cabin in the woods. She enjoys hiking, biking, kayaking snow shooing, cross country skiing and gardening. She is always picking up bits of nature, curly twigs, ruffly fungus, the perfect piece of bark and turning them into fairy houses.
